Natural Wrinkle Reducers

While always on the hunt for the latest natural beauty trends, I recently learnt of a few natural ways to reduce the appearance of wrinkles. The first tip is universally known while the others were news to me, so keep reading to learn of some great natural treatments!
1. Drink loads ofwater and I mean loads! You should consume at least 8 glasses of water a day. Apparently the water is best for your skin when had at room temperature. Add a splash of lemon juice while you are at it! Hydration is key for a glowing complexion.
2. Say goodbye to your crow’s feet with a honey steam bath. Hover your face over a boiling bowl of water and embrace all that good steam. Once finished steaming, cover your face in honey, leave on for a couple of minutes than wash off with cold water. This will leave your face feeling very smooth and firm.
3. Make an avocado face mask. Not only is nature’s butter delicious but is loaded with vitamins B, K and E therefore works wonders when applied to your face. Cut up a ripe avocado and apply it to your face. Leave the avocado on for about 15 minutes and you will be impressed with the softness of your skin after you finish.
The best part of this regime is it can be easily done for under $10.00!

Fabulous Easy Appetizer!

My latest obsession is Tune-In Radio where you can stream radio stations all over the world. It is really organized and breaks down music genres into categories and sub-categories. It will show you what is currently playing on the particular stations you are browsing. What is even better is that you can search artists and songs using this application. So naturally I would search my goddess Madonna to find she is currently playing on numerous stations all over the world! There are even channels solely dedicated to her music. Just about 30 years in the music business and still a powerhouse! Props to you Lady Madge!

Growing up in a Italian household, saying byebye to cheese breaks my heart, but Daiya offers a damn good substitute! Used for lunch today on gluten free bread in a grilled cheese. The cheese melts marvellously. Quite tasty, highly recommend! These cheese shreds also taste fabulous on a hearty minestrone.
After visiting the Vancouver Health and Wellness show, an older gentleman asked me, “Is your pH balanced?” I really had no idea. He gave me a pH test trip to use during my next visit to the loo.
I try to maintain a healthy diet but had never considered his question before. So how did I score? Luckily I was only slightly below neutral. On the pH scale, any number above 7 is alkaline and any number below is considered acidic. My results led me on a new adventure which was trying to boost my pH.
There is an abundance of information that explains how one can naturally balance his or her pH. All you need to know is what foods are acidic and alkaline forming in the body. Different sources state how much alkaline food one should intake, but it ranges anywhere from 65-80% of your total diet. Initially I thought it would be as simple as a chart diving food into these two categories. As it turns out, each food group can be categorized into varying degrees.
Check out this pH balance chart to get an idea:

Balancing your pH is essential for feeling healthy and balanced. Too much acidity in the body is the foundation for many diseases.
Now next time your body feels out of whack, look up a pH balance chart to see what your body is lacking.
